The debunt Champbell and Brathwaite started the innings. The 1st wicket stand for 53 runs partnership. M Ali provides breakthrough by taking the wicket of debunt Champbell.
Champbell scored 44 runs of 53 balls. S Hope came at No.3. They both were batting massively. They couldn’t build a big partnership.
In 46th over Ben Stokes provide breakthrough by taking the wicket of Brathwaite. He scored 40 runs off 130 balls. 73 runs partnership provided between Hope and Brathwaite.
DM Bravo came at No.4 but he coulndn’t stand for a long time in the grease as Stokes again strikes in next over. Chase came at No.5. Hope rotaiting the strike and Chase was hitting some big shots. Hope scored fifty.
In 65th over Anderson provide breakthrough to the team. This time Hope was out scoring 57 runs off 148 balls. Hetmyer came at No.6.
They both played very well and trying to build big partnership but unfortunatley Anderson again provide breakthrough,When West Indies trying to attack England bowlers.
Chase scored fifty but he couldn’t stand in the grease after scoring fifty. Anderson sent him back to pavilion end. The score of West Indies was 240/5. From here West Indies started loosing wickets.
Hetmyer scored fifty but from other end they were loosing wickets. They lost 3 wickets in 30 runs. Dowrich ,Roach scored 0 and Holder scored 5 runs. Anderson took 4 wickets and stokes 2 wickets on 1st day. Their score was 264 for 8 as 1st day was ended.
