Sri Lanka 1st innings summary

Karunaratne and Thirimanne opened the innings. Thirimanne opening in his first Test since November 2017 and M Starc opend the bowling spells.

Australia didn’t get much time to take the first wicket as Cummins strikes in his secound over.

In 10th over Sri Lanka looses 1st wicket of Thirimanne for 12 runs. At No.3 skipper came Chandimal but he gone back to pavilion end in next over.

Debunt boy Richardson takes his 1st wicket of Chandimal he scores 5 runs. From starting Sri Lanka didn’t started well they were 54/3 as Lyon strikes the 3rd wicket of Karunaratne.

He scored 24 runs. The debunt Richardson strikes two more wickets of G Mendis and De Silva as They were half down on 66 runs.

Australia 1st innings summary

MS Harris and JA Burns opened the innings and S Lakmal starts the bowling with new ball. Sri Lanka gets the early breakthrough in 10th over,by Lakmal taking the wicket of JA Burns. He scored 15 runs. 2 overs to spare to end of day 1. UT Khawaja was out by MDK Perera. He scored 11 runs. Australia played 25 overs and score was 72/2 as day 1 was ended.
